Later in the fall, you`re more likely to have clear skies to enhance the view

Even on this December day it was still warm enough to sit outside up there on the veranda to eat my lunch

Some trees seem to change color all at once, some transition, with even individual leaves bearing a blend of colors

Some of the colors are strikingly vivid

My three favorite colors, green, yellow and blue

Ueno Park is a pleasant place for an afternoon stroll at any time of year, but especially so in autumn. Throughout the park and zoo, the peaceful green of the leaves turns to a jamboree of vibrant reds, oranges and yellows, the trees coming alive with colors. It attracts a lot of visitors, but the park is big enough to lose the crowds and find a quiet spot to enjoy the bright festival in the trees.
