LED Illumination in Airport

How do you spend time when you are at an airport? People often spend one hour only for waiting airplane arrival.

At Tokushima Awa Odori Airport, you can buy and eat Tokushima’s special products in shops and restaurant just like at other airports. Besides this however, the most attractive area is the observation deck. Not only can you enjoy watch airplanes taking off and landing, but you can also see beautiful LED illuminations anytime during business hours.

Bright Blue LED was developed by three Japanese physicists. Dr. Shuji Nakamura, one of the inventors, had played an important role when he was employed at Nichia Chemicals located in Tokushima. Dr. Shuji Nakamura won the 2014 Nobel Prize for Physics.

There are many LED illuminations other than on the  observation deck, here and there around the airport. Try to find as many other LED illuminations as you can!
