If you're searching for a winter ice skating destination in Hyogo, look no further than the Umie Ice Marina. The popular annual event allows visitors to skate whilst they enjoy some spectacular views out over Kobe Harbor, and the rink itself is illuminated after dark.
Skates and gloves are available to rent at the venue, but if you do have your own pair of skates bring them along—you'll receive a ¥200 discount on your admission fee.
Do note that the rink opens earlier, from 1pm, on weekends.
Getting there
The Umie Ice Marina is located just five minutes on foot from Harbor Land Station, which is served by the Kobe Municipal Subway's Kaigan Line.
