For two evenings this May, Toyama Castle Ruins Park will host Ethics Lights 2025 Toyama Castle Projection Mapping, a free-of-charge digital art event. Projection mapping displays will illuminate the historic Toyama Castle with imagery inspired by the region’s identity, including traditional crafts, tulips (Toyama Prefecture’s official flower), and the phoenix—a symbol of recovery from the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake.
Presented by the RINRI PROJECT - TEAM ETHICS LIGHTS and sponsored by Toyama City, the event runs from 7:30pm until 9:30pm on both evenings. Each sequence lasts about three minutes and plays on a loop, allowing visitors to enjoy the full experience at any time during the two-hour window.
In addition to the projection mapping, visitors can enjoy food trucks, a café area, and live dance performances. The event is part of a broader effort to use digital art and cultural expression to support local recovery and promote regional heritage.
