Each year from around early to mid October, Aichi's Shinshiro Cosmos Alley is filled with the beauty of around 350,000 cosmos in bloom in numerous varieties. During the blooming season they also hold a fun scarecrow competition here, with numerous amusing entrants on display.
Visitors are able to pick a few of the cosmos flowers as a souvenir from their visit, or try to make their way through a cosmos maze. There are typically numerous vendors selling food, drink, and local produce, and for those with dogs you'll be pleased to know that the event is pet-friendly.
