If you'd like to indulge in a spot of ice skating this winter, head to the Chiba City Central Park. It's home to one of the largest synthetic ice skating rinks in Japan, spanning approximately 400 square meters. The high-quality synthetic ice is also used by professional athletes, and it has a huge benefit – if you fall, you won't get wet or cold, so it's perfect even for first-timers. The rink is also surrounded by seasonal illuminations, creating a wonderfully festive atmosphere.
If you do plan on visiting, pleasee note that the operating hours differ from weekdays to weekends. On weekdays the rink is open from 16:00 to 22:00 (last entries at 21:00), and on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays this extends to 11:00 to 21:00 (last entries at 20:00).
