A special exhibition taking place at the Kyoto Museum of Contemporary Art looks at the works of Ihei Kimura (1901 - 1974), who was seen as the most important individual in Japan's history of modern photography.
The event will showcase approximately 60 of Kimura's works from the museum's collection, centered around several main themes. These will include pre-war and post-war photography, photographs of people, the Japanese archipelago, and glimpses into Akita Prefecture to name just a few.
Adult admission to the event is priced at 1000 yen, and no advance reservations are required.
