William Morris (1834-1896) was a British textile designer who was associated with the British Arts and Crafts movement. He is often seen as one of the figureheads who revived textile arts and how they were produced, and his works are still loved to this day.
A special exhibition taking place at the Takaoka Art Museum will explore Morris' life as a designer, with around 80 examples of his work on display. There will also be photographs and video footage of English landscapes which were often a source of his artistic inspiration.
General admission to the event is priced at ¥1200.
