Ueno Zoo in Tokyo is one of the most surreal zoos you will ever experience. It’s like a world of magic. Within the zoo you will find two sections, East and West, where the animals are divided which makes it easier to co-ordinate.
Ueno Zoo is open from 9:30 to 17:00 every day, except on Mondays. The entry fee is only ¥600 for adults and ¥200 for children aged 13+. All younger children receive free admission. The zoo is situated in Ueno Park which is only a short five-minute walk from Ueno Station on the JR Line.
